Great North Eastern Railway (GNER) run fast, frequent passenger rail services on the flagship East Coast Main Lineen London King's Cross, the East Midlands, Yorkshire, the North East of England and Scotland, carrying more than 17.4 million passengers a year.
Most GNER trains run between London King's Cross and either Edinburgh Waverley or Leeds. From Edinburgh and Waverley, selected services continue on to Motherwell & Glasgow, Inverness, or Dundee & Aberdeen. From Leeds, some GNER trains run to and from Bradford, Skipton, and Harrogate.
From Leeds, some trains run to and from Bradford, Skipton, and Harrogate. One GNER service per day also runs to and from Hull via Selby.
Please Note: National Express East Coast will take over the operating of GNER routes from 9th December 2007. Other than changes to the customer information notices displayed at stations and on trains, there should be no immediate change noticeable to passengers. Changes to ticketing, train services and train & station facilities will be introduced as National Express East Coast develop the route over the next few years.
